Back to the Beginning

Today, I'm at a bit of a loss for words. No, there's nothing wrong. I'm alright. However, I'm sitting here in a coffee shop on a rainy Thursday afternoon dreaming of big dreams for my future, and frankly, I'm not really sure where to get started with these plans. So, I decided that I would just start at the very beginning today, and the very beginning goes a little something like this.


"In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through Him, and nothing was created except through Him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and His life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it" (John 1:1-5, NLT).

The God-head, three in one, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, were there at the beginning. In fact, they were there before the beginning...began. This isn't a long post. This is just a bit of encouragement for your day--a little piece of hope to hold on to. Jesus loves you infinitely and deeply. He loves you so much that He gave his life for you, just so that you could be near Him, and He could show you just how much He loves you. That same Jesus created existence as we know it. He's got it all in his hands, and you know what, my friends? If He loves you that much, you better believe He's laying out a glorious existence, a grand adventure, for you right now. He loves you, and He has a plan for your life. Believe it.
